Day 92, July 18: Unexpected Zero in Butte Meadows

I woke up in the cabin in Butte Meadows feeling a little bit better but bad enough still that I decided to stay another day. There’s not much to write about this day as I spent most of it alternating between sleeping and watching a little TV. At one point, Stacey had a local medic come check on me. He did a very basic physical and said he thought I had the common flu rather than Covid. Still, later he brought me a Covid test and it came out negative (yay, though who really knows).

Later I felt okay enough to go get some dinner at the pizza shop/store where Stacey works. I met Patti and Chuck, an older couple who lives in town as well. They kindly bought me dinner- a loaded pizza that we all split. It hit the spot, and I soon got sleepy enough to wander back to my cabin to go to bed.
