Day 133, August 28: Zero in Packwood

Just a little bit before checkout, we decided to take a zero in Packwood due to Kevin’s swollen knee, Frankie’s foot that she worried she had a stress fracture in, and my ever-injured foot.

We got coffee in the morning, resupplied at the grocery store that was directly next to our hotel (a godsend for hobbling thru hikers without cars) and stopped by the small gear shop in town. Otherwise, the day was gloriously uneventful and we spent most of it horizontal, watching hotel TV. In the evening, we went to the saloon across the street, ate dinner and played some pool before crashing early again.
